Are you struggling to find an NHS dentist? At Moonlight Dental Surgery in Slough, we are committed to meeting NHS regulations and providing the highest-quality care, as well as keeping patients informed about all the benefits they can enjoy at our practice.
We know that many patients want dental treatment on the NHS, which is why we are keen to offer all of our patients the choice of being treated on the NHS or privately. At your first appointment, let us know which option you would prefer. We are happy to talk you through the pluses and minuses of both treatment routes.
Our NHS dentists are as experienced as some of the top practitioners in the industry and are always happy to discuss even the most complex dental procedures in a patient, informative and easy-to-understand manner. We provide the full range of NHS treatments at our Slough practice, including crowns, bridges and dentures, meaning we can provide you with full dental care at the lowest prices possible.
NHS dentistry is priced by band. For 2015/16, the three treatment bands are:
Band 1: £18.80 includes an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish with the dentist and planning for further treatment.
Band 2: £51.30 includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
Band 3: £222.50 includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges
There are several exemptions from these charges, for children up to the age of 18 (19 if in full-time education), pregnant women and patients in receipt of certain benefits – please visit our fees page for full details.
