Clear braces are one of the fastest-growing areas in the modern dental world. Slough Braces Centre offers treatment with the popular Six Month Smiles system of clear braces, which are designed to move your teeth subtly, gently, and quickly. We welcome new patients for teeth straightening consultations.
The majority of adults who come to our Slough dental centre for teeth straightening consultations are primarily concerned about issues affecting the social six front teeth – that is, the teeth that show when you smile. It is these teeth that Six Month Smiles clear braces are designed to work on, which is why treatment times are much shorter than with standard brace systems.
Another major difference between these clear braces and traditional orthodontic appliances is that few people will notice you are having treatment with Six Month Smiles. They comprise tooth-coloured nickel-titanium wires and clear brackets, which means that they blend in well with the natural colour of your teeth.
At our Slough dental clinic we believe braces remain, in many cases, the best way to straighten teeth. They produce results that are predictable and afford your dentist maximum control over the movement of each tooth.
Straightening your teeth, whether with clear braces or any other orthodontic appliance, can also improve your dental health. When there are fewer hard to clean gaps where dental plaque can amass, you will slash your risk of both gum disease and tooth decay – so long as you practise efficient oral hygiene, of course.
When you come to our Slough dental centre for a clear braces consultation, your dentist will assess whether this treatment is suitable for your needs and, so long as it is, will take impressions of your teeth in order for your braces to be made up.
Unlike some other cosmetic orthodontic appliances, Six Month Smiles clear braces will be attached to your teeth for the duration of treatment – you can’t take them out yourself at home. However, these braces use far lower forces than their standard counterparts, which means that treatment is much more comfortable.
You will need to come into our Slough clinic for periodic check-ups during treatment.
